The first time I heard Devotchka was a couple of years, through a Russian friend who lives in NY and they invited me to a concert. Since then took up residence in a corner of my Ipod. The chaotic dust each time I head chairs alchemy, begs to put something different daily rhythm. Founded in 1997 in Colorado, by Nick Urata, Tom Hagerman, Jeanie Schroder and Shawn King, Devotchka mixture (quite successfully I believe) rhythms and trends like punk and folk music from such diverse places as Romania, Greece, USA and Mexico . Now I learn to be presented in the “Bowery Ballroom in New York on May 20 and take the opportunity to recommend them. For reference, here let a clip from the soundtrack for the film “Little Miss Sunshine“, which is probably some better known and his theme that once I found a pleasant surprise in a movie theater in this city.
